La Real Orquesta Cuba was founded in Santiago de Cuba in April 2010, as part of the Oye Santiago Baila project, which aims to give a new impetus and maintain the tradition of dance and music in Santiago de Cuba. It is this region of Cuba that has seen the birth of traditional Cuban music, with influences from Africa, Spain, but also the Caribbean, because of its geographical position. This Orchestra participates in the documentary OYE SANTIAGO BAILA (France-Cuba) which shows the evolution of the music of the Oriental region of the island of Cuba.
