She was born in Santiago de Cuba on February 1, 1935. She started singing at age 9 and at 15 she was already singing on CMKW radio. She has sung on national television and in national and international competitions: Adolfo Guzman, Benny More, Pacho Alonso in memoriam .She has performed on national radio stations such as Radio Progreso, Radio Liberacion, Radio Rebelde and CMKCy in the most important cabarets in Cuba such as El Capri, Varadero International, Las Vegas, Rumba Palace, Matanzas Bay, San Pedro del Mar and others. She records in Santiago an LP 10 songs with the Orquesta de Musica Moderna Santiago
