Born in Gibara on January 27, 1932. Composer and finalist winner of the biggest contest of the Cuban song '' Adolfo Guzman '', eleven times as a finalist and three as great prize winner. His works encompass an enormous influence of the Changui, the guaracha the danzon and the bolero. His songs are performed by important orchestras such as La Original de Manzanillo, Son 14, Maravillas de Florida and others. He was a member of La Orquesta Hermanos Aviles and then Juanito Marquez. He has more than 100 awards for his artistic work.
